I came across this great tale that describes how a small change in your personal behavior, or thinking – can make a big difference in your life – and business.
Read this story:
“A boy came to his old Grandfather and was very, very angry. A friend had done him a big injustice. His grand-daddy said: “Let me tell you a story. I too, at times, have felt a great hatred for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do”.
But I learned too, he said, “hate and negativity wears you down. And, it does not hurt your enemy. It is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times.”
He continued, “It is as if there are two wolves inside me. One is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all friends around him, and does not take offense when no offense was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way.”
“But the other wolf – he is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper. He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, for his anger will change nothing.”
“Sometimes, it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, for both of them try to dominate my spirit and mind.”
The boy looked intently into his Grandfather’s eyes and asked, “which one wins, Grandfather?”
The Grandfather smiled and quietly said, “The one I feed.”
Are you feeding your “bad wolf” with negativity and anger? If so, learn simple ways to restore yourself. (You may be close to a breakthrough).
Recognize it – you have a challenge.
Ready to make a change? Be honest with how you *really* feel. That’s the first step.
The life you live is your own – nobody else knows what you know. No-one else knows what you are dealing with, or have gone through lately. While you may think that your family, friends, mum, dad, manager, co-worker and many others control your life — YOU are in fact, the boss. You can start to make changes to your destiny.
If you are having a hard time getting along with people, or you are not making enough money, or, you cannot find love, and seem to get “mad” at every situation – you have only yourself to blame. In fact, excuses are a perfect way for you to avoid the truth about yourself.
Here is an exercise for you.
Use this formula, and think about what it means to you:
Personal self-healing formula:
T + F + A = R
This stands for:
- Thoughts
- Feelings
- Action
- Results
How you do anything, is how you do everything” – T. Harv Eker
That’s a truth. Everything comes from your experiences in your life. It starts when you are in the womb, and the flood-lights are on full when you start dealing with the real world, and your mother and father are your first influences. As we look to money making opportunities, what were some of your earliest memories about money or success that you remember – from your mother and/or father? Does it make you angry? What are the non-supportive, negative emotions that come out?
The thoughts (T), as the first part of the formula, are programmed in your mind from early experiences. That “pre-programming” into your brain is an important, key part of you – for better or for worse.
Hint: As you look around your world, all your physical manifestations are a results of the mental, emotional and spiritual exchanges you have had, and still have – with yourself.
The hard truth.
Your current results in the physical world are a direct correlation to your past. Your “blueprint” has been set to a certain standard of living. If you want to break free and excel in your life, the first step is to recognize that you have a problem. It comes from your past. Figure out what it is, what happened. Then, and only then – can you start to make a change.
Your personal thermostat or “set point” for success was established long ago. If you are not making it – having lots of difficulties in personal and business life, money issues – you need to look – not at the fruits of your labor – but at the roots. Your tree is flourishing in areas perhaps, but may soon fall over, unless you address the root causes.
